Leonard S. Spinelli is an Associate in the Firm’s Newark, NJ office and a member of the Labor Law and Employment Law & Litigation Practice Groups.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Spinelli served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Employment Litigation Section, now known as State Police, Employment and Corrections, where his practice focused on defending the State of New Jersey and its related entities in complex single- and multi-plaintiff employment matters in state and federal court and counseling state agencies in all aspects of employment litigation. Following law school, Mr. Spinelli worked in a management role as a civilian contractor to the United States Army in one of the largest eDiscovery collections in U.S. Army history. Later, Mr. Spinelli worked for a national law firm where he represented national banks and financial institutions in commercial litigation and regulatory compliance matters.
Mr. Spinelli received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from New York University. In law school, Mr. Spinelli was awarded the Philip K. Yonge Memorial Prize for excellence in commercial law.
