Kevin Stawicki is an Associate at Genova Burns LLC, pending bar admission. He brings a distinctive background in government, journalism, and legal research to the firm, shaped by experiences at the highest levels of law and policy.
During law school, Kevin served in the Counsel’s Office of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy as the Governor’s Executive Fellow through the Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics. He also gained experience as a legal intern in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, where he drafted appellate briefs and litigation memoranda, and as a law clerk at Genova Burns, supporting attorneys across multiple practice areas. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a Judicial Intern at the U.S. Supreme Court in the Office of the Counselor to Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., where he contributed research and assisted with dignitary presentations.
Before entering the legal profession, Kevin worked as a legal affairs journalist for a national legal news publication, where he authored more than 1,000 articles on litigation with a focus on labor and employment law. He began his journalism career as a multimedia reporter for a CBS News affiliate in Binghamton, New York. This background in legal and investigative reporting honed his ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights—a skill that continues to inform his legal practice.
At Rutgers Law School, Kevin served as Symposium Editor of the Rutgers Law Review and was recognized with the Anthony Engelbrecht Prize for highest GPA in his final year, as well as the Clinical Legal Education Association Award for his advocacy in the Rutgers Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic.
Kevin received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. from Columbia University.
