Eric D. Engelman is an Associate in the Firm’s Newark, NJ office and a member of the Labor Law Practice Group. He represents management in all aspects of labor relations, including arbitration and collective bargaining.
Mr. Engelman previously served as Assistant General Counsel for the New York City Office of Labor Relations, where he gained experience defending city agencies against employee grievances and improper practice petitions filed by municipal unions. In that capacity, he served as lead counsel in dozens of hearings concerning employee discipline, retaliation, union interference, contract interpretation, and other matters. He also advised city negotiators in collective bargaining with uniformed and civilian unions.
Mr. Engelman received his Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Binghamton University. While in law school, he was an Associate Editor of the Fordham Moot Court Board and the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, and served on the Fordham Board of Student Advisors.
