Jeffrey R. Rich is a Partner and Chair of the Commercial Real Estate & Redevelopment Law Practice Group. Mr. Rich has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial real estate activities, including acquisitions; sales, leasing and financing; commercial, residential, industrial and retail development projects and mixed-use redevelopment projects throughout New Jersey.

Mr. Rich's extensive experience, coupled with his deep network of contacts in the financial and real estate development industries, enable him to provide superb counsel to clients with respect to development opportunities as well as match project financing needs to available resources in the marketplace.

Mr. Rich is a member of the Board of Trustees of the CPC Foundation and CPC Behavioral Healthcare, Inc., a nonprofit community mental healthcare organization serving Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, and Mercer Counties. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Holiday Express, a non-profit organization that delivers food, financial support, music, gifts and friendship to those with the greatest needs.

  • Negotiated project development agreements and closed the financing on two major hotel development projects in Newark involving construction and permanent financing, tax abatements, redevelopment area bond financing, new markets tax credits, historical tax credits and grants through developer incentive programs sponsored by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. These programs include the Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit program, State Economic Redevelopment and Growth Grant program, Business Retention and Relocation Assistance Grant program and Business Employment Incentive program.
  • Negotiated for a commercial property owner the lease for the establishment in New Jersey of the regional headquarters and operations center of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and their response and relief efforts related to Hurricane Sandy.
