Joseph Hannon To Present Two Seminars At The New Jersey State League Of Municipalities Annual Conference

Firm Partner Joseph M. Hannon, Esq. will participate on two seminar panels at this year's New Jersey State League of Municipalities Annual Conference which takes place November 18 - 20th in Atlantic City, NJ. 

Joe's first seminar, "Police Disciplinary Issues Including Police Licensing" will feature a discussion regarding the different aspects of disciplinary process – investigating and charging, types of discipline, civil service vs. non-civil service, negotiating agreements including last chance, hearing, and new police licensing statute and legal issues concerning same. Joe's second seminar "Accumulated Sick Leave And Health Benefits Contract Changes" will address two major concerns facing New Jersey municipal governments administering accumulated sick leave payouts and approaches for changing health insurance benefits. This session will address provisions within Labor Contracts. The discussion will include suggestions on calculating Retirement payouts, Sick leave buy-backs and management of vacation carryover. Additionally, techniques for addressing contract issues related to PTO and, most pressing, changes in Health Insurance provisions will be discussed.
