Rajiv Parikh Denounces Racist Political Mailer As Voter Suppression

November 3, 2017

Firm Partner Rajiv D. Parikh was quoted in an article entitled “Edison chamber officials strongly denounce hate-filled political mailer” on the ROI-NJ website. Mr. Parikh and Edison officials firmly denounced a flyer advocating deportation of two Chinese-American and Indian-American citizens running for election for the Edison school board.

Mr. Parikh, who is also general counsel to the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, said that the committee views the mailer as an attempt to suppress the vote, which he said it takes very seriously.

“Sending something like that is sending a message to the voters that they are somehow different,” Mr. Parikh said. “The bottom line is, anyone who has the right to vote in this election on Tuesday (November 7th) should.”
