June 7, 2018

Partner Rebecca Moll Freed will speak at a seminar on “Pay-to-Play 2018: The Latest in Campaign Finance,” sponsored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education at the Legal Center in New Brunswick on Thursday, June 28th. This seminar will educate attorneys and other businesspeople about the latest developments in New Jersey’s strict pay-to-play or campaign finance laws, especially how county and municipal pay-to-play ordinances differ from state rules, and strategies for compliance. Attendees will also learn how to establish controls and monitor corporate and employee contributions, to avoid potential or unintended violations that could lead to the loss of government contracts or participation in redevelopment projects, and possible fines and criminal sanctions.
