Firm-sponsored Event on SuperPACS in New York featured in Capital NY

October 23, 2012

Capital NY, an online news publication about “how things work in New York”,  featured an article about Genova Burns’s event last week at New York Law School: SuperPACs in New York: A Look Ahead to the 2013 Elections.  The piece noted the timeliness of the panel discussion, hosted one day after the Mayor of New York City announced the formation of his own SuperPAC, and the same day as the release of a ruling by the City’s Campaign Finance Board about the Mayor’s 2009 reelection  campaign.  “ But the potential for Bloomberg, or anyone else, to influence the race, in the same way super PACs appear to be affecting this year's congressional elections, is far from clear,” wrote reporter Reid Pillifant.
