Patrick McGovern and Justine Abrams to Give Presentations at National Business Institute Seminar

Firm Partner Patrick W. McGovern and Firm Associate Justine L. Abrams will be two of the presenters at a National Business Institute seminar, “Guide to Human Resource Laws in the Workplace,” on November 14th and 15th, respectively at the Hilton Home2 Suites hotel in Hasbrouck Heights. The extensive seminar is designed to inform human resource professionals about all of the hot-button issues that they need to know to comply with the law and avoid claims and lawsuits.

Mr. McGovern’s presentation will focus on recent and anticipated developments in the areas of wage and hour and employee benefits legal issues. He will review the highlights of the Trump Administration legislative and regulatory agendas, as well as recent notable court and agency decisions in the wage and hour and employee benefits areas, developments under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and common wage and hour traps.

Ms. Abrams’ presentation will focus on workplace privacy issues.  This will include a discussion about workplace searches, monitoring and surveillance of employees’ electronic communication, social media and computer use, and workplace investigations.

The seminar has been approved by the Board of Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 14.4 hours of total CLE credit. For further information and to register, please click here.
