Our labor attorneys advise New York and New Jersey charter schools, public schools and public and private colleges and universities on all labor-related issues, including:
- Union-free workplace training;
- Election campaigns, and
- Collective negotiations, mediation, fact-finding and grievance arbitration.
We represent schools in all matters before the NY Public Employment Relations Board, the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). We negotiated the only New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) compensation system containing a merit-based salary component for one of our charter school clients. In addition, we assist schools with tenure charges, employee discipline and any personnel issues that arise.
