As General and Ethics Counsel at Genova Burns, Mr. Bottitta advises the firm’s Management Committee and Managing Partner on matters of legal ethics, professional responsibility, risk management, compliance, and internal governance. His role is integral to maintaining the firm’s commitment to the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence.

Distinguished Career and Leadership in New Jersey Law

Since 1974, Mr. Bottitta has provided comprehensive legal representation to corporations and individuals, with a focus on insurance and real estate matters. He has successfully argued numerous cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court and appellate courts, achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.

Mr. Bottitta’s leadership within the legal profession includes serving as:

• 100th President of the New Jersey State Bar Association (1998–1999)
• President of the Essex County Bar Association (1986–1987)

He was also appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Special Committee on Attorney Ethics and Admissions, where he contributed to the review of professional conduct standards and attorney admission requirements.

A Fellow of the American Bar Association, Mr. Bottitta has long been recognized for his commitment to advancing the legal profession. He frequently lectures before professional audiences, including the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
