Judson Stein Quoted in NJ.com and Star Ledger Regarding New Trump Tax Plan

December 28, 2017

Judson M. Stein, Firm Partner and Chair of the Trusts & Estates Practice Group, was quoted in recent NJ.com and Star Ledger articles discussing the new Trump tax plan.

Mr. Stein advised that, in regard to property taxes, "taxpayers can pay their last installment of their estimated 2017 taxes by Dec. 31 rather than the due date of Jan. 15." He also noted that, regarding divorce, "someone having to pay alimony might want to reach an agreement sooner rather than later so those payments can be deducted, while the recipient will want to wait since the income will no longer be taxable."
