Rebecca Moll Freed Quoted in NJBIZ Breaking Glass Blog

December 17, 2014

Partner Rebecca Moll Freed was interviewed for an NJBIZ blog post highlighting the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) and their upcoming “Passion, Power, Progress” awards dinner which will take place January 15th at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick. Ms. Freed, Director of the firm’s Corporate Political Activity Law Practice Group and WPCNJ Board Counsel became involved in the WPCNJ because she “was interested in getting to know more women who were involved in politics and having a seat at the table to get more women appointed and elected to office.”

The Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey has sought to increase women’s participation in the political process and the number of women elected and appointed office in New Jersey since its inception in 1977.

As Board Counsel, Ms. Freed provides the WPCNJ with guidance on operating a 501(c)(4), a 501(c)(3) and a New Jersey political action committee. Thus, her role as WPCNJ Board Counsel dovetails with her role at the firm. In addition to being Director of the Corporate Political Activity Law Group, Ms. Freed is also Director of both the Non-Profit and Tax Exempt Organizations Practice Group and the Vendor Political Activity & Ethics Compliance Training & Audit Programs and a member of the Public Contract Law & Bid Protest Litigation Practice Group.
