Annual Pay-to-Play Disclosure Deadline Looms in New Jersey

March 15, 2012

Businesses with government contracts in New Jersey are subject to an annual disclosure requirement, “Chapter 271.” For calendar year 2011, the report is due on March 30, 2012. The reporting form is available on the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission’s website. Only “reportable” contributions need to be disclosed. A “reportable” contribution is one in excess of $300 in the aggregate: per election to candidate committees and per calendar year to political party committees, legislative leadership committees, and continuing political committees. All business entities with receipts from government contracts of $50,000 or more in calendar year 2011 must file a report. Are you ready to file? Our free seminar on Monday, March 19, 2012 in Newark, New Jersey is designed to help. Click here for more information and to pre-register.
