Michael C. McQueeny Quoted in NJ Cannabis Insider Article on Evolving Nature of CBD Regulations and Their Effect on the Marketplace

August 2, 2019

Firm Cannabis Practice Chair Michael C. McQueeny was quoted in an article entitled “Amid the CBD craze, here’s how one business treads carefully” in the most recent issue of NJCannabis Insider. The article is about North of Normal, a new CBD shop in Lambertville, NJ that sells CBD and hemp products, and mentions that Jessica Saltstein opened her store by doing research, vetting the products and finding trusted suppliers in the CBD market, where the rules, if any, can be unclear.

Mr. McQueeny, who represents North of Normal, says: “There aren’t really rules right now. The only true regulation we have in the marketplace is the discerning nature of the market participants. From a free market model, you would hope that would be successful. The problem is, there’s such a rush on this marketplace.”
