Leadership Newark’s mission is to be a catalyst to engage, empower, connect and improve the network of community and civic leaders as they each commit to build, strengthen and serve for the common good. Our program -with its more than 800 graduates over the past 20 years- could represent a potential opportunity for your staff to delve deeper into issues facing the City & develop partnerships with other civic leaders. The LN network serves as a “Think Tank” of engaged, emerging leaders whose work impacts the City of Newark. We also want to meet you because you may be asked to speak at one of our programs or participate in our Public Policy Summits.
Eric Pennington, the City of Newark’s Business Administrator (“BA”), a graduate of LN’s first class in 2000, will deliver a keynote address during the program. As BA, he directs, facilitates and assists the City’s municipal departments and agencies in delivering services to Newark residents and businesses. He will speak about his experience as an LN alumnus, the contribution that LN has made to his professional development, and his role in working with businesses in the City to provide efficient and cost-effective services. Also joining us to provide remarks will be Allison Ladd, an experienced leader in the real estate industry and Deputy Mayor/Director Economic and Housing Development.Event Location:
