Zoning Ordinances

Genova Burns attorneys work with developers to identify provisions in existing zoning ordinances that limit the development potential of sites. Genova Burns has a long history of drafting amendments to zoning ordinances to eliminate those obstacles to the proposed developments contained in the existing zoning ordinances, once those obstacles are identified. We are then able to work cooperatively with municipal officials to get those draft amendments enacted. Where necessary, we will challenge existing zoning ordinances on procedural or substantive grounds based on our detailed understanding of the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law.
