Firm Counsel Samuel Scott Cornish was featured in an October 12th Associated Press article entitled “Hacking a Big Danger for Small Businesses”. The article discusses the costs incurred by small businesses that find themselves the target of computer and website attacks. “In almost every state, companies must notify people when information has been breached, says Samuel Cornish [of] Genova Burns in Newark, New Jersey. Companies can also be liable for damages in lawsuits brought by customers…” The article has since been picked up by several news sources including ABCNews.go.com, USAToday.com, and Newsday.com.
