Vreeland Elected Vice President of NJLERA

Firm Counsel John R. Vreeland was elected as Vice President of The New Jersey Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), a unique organization of professionals from New Jersey and  contiguous states who are  involved in labor & employment relations and human resource management. The chapter includes members from the management, labor, neutral (including arbitrators and mediators), government, and academic fields.

The New Jersey Chapter holds six dinner meetings a year where members listen to distinguished speakers and share their knowledge and experience. The New Jersey Chapter is affiliated with the Labor and Employment Relations Association (formerly the Industrial Relations Research Association), which sponsors national meetings for practitioners and academics and publishes books, conference proceedings, and periodicals that are designed for a wide audience.

Mr. Vreeland is the Director of the Wage & Hour Compliance Practice Group and a member of the Labor Law Practice Group.

Mr. Vreeland practices traditional labor law on behalf of the firm's private sector clients with extensive experience before the National Labor Relations Board, state and federal courts and labor arbitrators. As the Director of the firm’s Wage & Hour Compliance Practice Group, Mr. Vreeland assists the firm’s clients in being proactive to address wage and hour issues before litigation or a government investigation has commenced. Mr. Vreeland regularly counsels management in all industries on their payroll and record keeping practices and partners with their human resources and payroll departments to perform periodic compliance audits and design policies and job descriptions to reduce risk and exposure for wage and hour claims.
