Genova Burns’s litigators were recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal in its Litigation Department of the Year competition. The Firm was named second finalist in the category of General Litigation. GBGW was one of the only the only mid-sized, regionally focused firms to be so recognized.
The Law Journal described the Firm as follows:
“With a backbone of commercial litigation and governmental affairs, Genova Burns embodies a model boutique that can function at the level of a larger firm, succeeding at providing services that cross-cut a broad field of practice areas and industries….In 2012, the firm was lead counsel on published opinions that contributed to the development of law in numerous areas of public importance, including legislative reapportionment, minority voter suppression and access to governmental records.” The article credited the Firm’s “strong management and direction of its litigators” in addition to the “cultivation of vital skills and values on a constant basis.”
