Genova Burns to Co-Chair New Jersey Hall of Fame 5th Annual Red Carpet Induction Ceremony

Genova Burns is proud to sponsor the New Jersey Hall of Fame’s 5th Annual Red Carpet Induction Ceremony on Saturday, June 9th at NJPAC in Newark. The ceremony celebrates the induction of an impressive class of great New Jerseyans including award-winning writer Joyce Carol Oates, media giant Samuel I. Newhouse, business leader and scientist Dr. John Dorrance, actors Christopher Reeve and Michael Douglas, jazz singer Sarah Vaughan, basketball coach Bob Hurley, Olympic star Milt Campbell, New York Giants owner Wellington Mara and one of the first female superstars Annie Oakley.  Rutgers student Eric LeGrand, who has inspired the nation with his courage in the face of a serious football injury, will receive the prestigious Unsung Hero Award. The Governor and Mrs. Christie will be the honorary hosts for the evening. “My partners and I are grateful to the Governor and Mrs. Christie for their support of the New Jersey Hall of Fame, and we are thrilled to sponsor this year’s induction ceremony and gala. The red carpet festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by LaBamba and the Hubcaps and the Bucky Pizzarelli Trio with Ed Laub and Frank Vignola. Some of the luminaries expected to attend the event include astronaut Buzz Aldrin, designer Michael Graves, football icon Frank Gifford, Olympic stars Carl Lewis and Joetta Clark Diggs, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, novelists Harlan Coben and Mary Higgins Clark, three-time Super Bowl champion Bart Oates, actor Vincent Curatola and boxer Chuck Wepner.
