Firm Partner Judson Stein, Esq. and Associate Jodi Lipka, Esq. to Present Estate Planning Seminars in June 2012

Judson Stein and Jodi Lipka, Esqs. of Genova Burns’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group will be presenting estate planning seminars in June on the subject of  “Before the Sunsets – Planning in an Age of Legislative Chaos.”  The presentations are intended to educate individuals and family-owned businesses  on strategies and options available over the next six months while the  status of the federal inheritance and gift taxes is in a state of uncertainty. Two presentations on the subject will be held; one in the evening and one in the morning, for the scheduling convenience of interested attendees. Mr. Stein is the head of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group and a member of the Non-Profit and Tax Exempt Organizations Practice Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in legal matters relating to the protection and enhancement of businesses and estates, as well as the transfer of assets to heirs and other beneficiaries. His trusts and estates practice helps clients understand their options for estate and gift planning, selection of fiduciaries, transfers of family businesses, life insurance, retirement planning, trusts, charitable giving, health care, education funding and gift techniques. His elder law practice assists seniors and their families with life care planning, Medicaid and asset protection, health care directives and living wills. Mr. Stein’s corporate and business law practice includes business formation and structure, partnership and operating agreements, shareholder agreements, business succession planning and all varieties of contract drafting and negotiation.
