Genova Burns will be conducting a one-day seminar entitled “2019 FMLA Master Class: New Jersey – Advanced Skills for Employee Leave Management” on Tuesday, May 21st at the Hyatt House Parsippany East in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ. This networking and learning event will be designed to provide company managers and other employees intensive day-long training on the latest Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations and cutting-edge compliance strategies. The seminar will also help managers keep employee leave management policies compliant with changing laws and regulations.
Six attorneys from Genova Burns’ Employment Law & Litigation, Human Resources Counseling & Compliance Practice and Labor Groups will be presenting – Dina M. During the first half of the seminar, they will provide instruction on fundamental FMLA compliance principles considering new and existing FMLA regulations, court rulings and more. During the second half, participants will engage with the attorneys as well as peers in a workshop-like setting to discuss real life scenarios related to managing intermittent and reduced schedule leave, return to work; performance issues problems before, during and after leave, and other critical issues. This seminar has been approved for 6.25 recertification credit hours through the HR Certification Institute and is valid for 6.25 PDCs for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
