Gioia E. Topazio is an Associate in the Firm's Newark, NJ office and a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, Privacy, Cyber & Data Security and Criminal Defense, Investigations & Compliance Practice Groups.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Topazio clerked for Essex County Criminal Court Judge, John Zunic, for whom she drafted judicial opinions on criminal motions and post-conviction relief petitions. She has experience assisting with the defense of medical malpractice actions as well as wills, trusts and estates, personal injury and residential real estate matters.
Ms. Topazio received her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. During law school, she won a merit-based Presidential Scholarship and an award for best appellate brief in Appellate Advocacy. Before college, Ms. Topazio attended the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child.
