Galen B. Sylk is an Associate in the Firm’s Camden, NJ office and is a member of the Employment Law & Ligitation practice group.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sylk served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Bernard E. DeLury Jr., Presiding Judge of the Criminal Division in Atlantic County Superior Court. Ms. Sylk has worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, and interned at both the Camden County Public Defender’s Office and the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Wills for Heroes, an organization that provides free legal services for emergency responders. Ms. Sylk is a co-author of the article entitled “Mending Lives and Reducing Recidivism: Role of NGOs and Service Organizations in Supporting Community-Based Restorative Justice Initiatives Involving High-Risk Youth” which was presented at the June 2017 Pathways to Resilience Conference in South Africa.
Ms. Sylk received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Franklin & Marshall College. While in law school, Ms. Sylk successfully participated in the Certificate Program in Criminal Law and Procedure. She was also a liaison to the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association through her first and second years of law school and worked as a Student Attorney for the Domestic Violence Clinic during her final year.
