The Commercial Financing Practice provides representation to commercial lenders and borrowers in all aspects of a loan transaction secured by real estate. The representation of lenders includes:

  • Counseling on loan structures and terms of a loan commitment
  • Preparation of loan documentation
  • Bond financing transactions
  • Due diligence with respect to the borrowers, guarantors and the collateral
  • Negotiations and documentation of loan participations with other financial institutions

The Redevelopment Law Practice has as its foundation the experience of our attorneys in representing public agencies responsible for the implementation of redevelopment projects, as well as the representation of the private developer designated as the redeveloper for a particular site. This experience includes:

  • Preparation of redevelopment plans adopted by municipalities,
  • Negotiation and preparation of redevelopment agreements,
  • Counseling as to available financing and grants for project development, including tax abatement opportunities.

The Commercial Real Estate Law Practice provides counseling in all phases of the real estate development process and the complexities of acquiring zoning, planning and other regulatory approvals. We provide advice and represent clients in matters before local zoning and planning boards in connection with commercial and large scale residential projects. We also litigate challenges to land use approvals, appeals of zoning and planning board denials, and the applicability of regulatory requirements to proposed development projects.
