Firm Partner John C. Petrella, Chair of the firm’s Employment Law & Litigation Practice Group, will join a panel of some of the State’s leading legal practitioners at a New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education seminar entitled the “2018 Labor and Employment Law Forum”. This program, presented in conjunction with the New Jersey State Bar Association Labor & Employment Section, will provide attendees with concrete knowledge and practical insights into the year’s most recent developments, hear case law update, learn insights into trade secrets and non-compete matters, and gain valuable insights about employment litigation and how to best settle cases. Mr. Petrella will join his fellow panelists to provide attendees new insights they can apply to their practices and cases.
The event is scheduled to take place February 28th at the APA Hotel Woodbridge in Iselin and has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 6.7 hours of total CLE credit.

Firm Of Counsel Joseph A. Bottitta was quoted in a recent New Jersey Law Journal article entitled “Law Firm GC a Role for the Seasoned, but That Means Grooming a Successor”.
In the article, Mr. Bottitta discusses his position as Firm Ethics Counsel at Genova Burns, noting that “the key to being ethics counsel” is “the availability,” Bottitta said. “That’s why I don’t know if you can do it on a part-time basis.” The article goes on saying, “In order to line up potential replacements, Bottitta has “taken a few people and kind of whispered in their ear…One way he’s done that is organizing, with the help of employment law associate Allison Benz and others, seminars on social media and document metadata.”
