Partner Jeffrey R. Rich to be honored by CPC Behavioral Healthcare

CPC Behavioral Healthcare of Monmouth County will celebrate 50 years of service this July at a Gala Benefit at which Jeffrey Rich, Roseann Paone & TD Bank will be honored.  The event will raise funds to assist CPC in providing mental health treatment to those who cannot afford it, integrating physical healthcare with mental healthcare for adults with mental illness and to fund transportation needs of CPC clients.

Dena B. Calo to Speak on Developing Employee Handbooks & Policies at New Jersey Business & Industry Association Seminar

Counsel Dena B. Partner Angelo J. Genova and Partner Peter R. Yarem Secure $13.9 million Judgment Against Developer

A Bergen County Superior Court Judge recently awarded $13.9 million to a Genova Burns & Giantomasi client in a commercial dispute between its client and a Bergen County developer.  The judgment comes after years of litigation and pre-judgment appeals which reached the New Jersey Supreme Court before remand to the trial court.  Genova and Yarem represented the plaintiff, who has pursued payment from the developer stemming from the developer’s $46 million real estate purchase of a 16 acre property in Fort Lee, New Jersey in 2003.

Brian W. Kronick to Speak at New Jersey State League of Municipalities Professional Development Seminar

Partner Brian W. Kronick will speak at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities Seminar entitled, “Maintaining a Safe Community within Current Budget Constraints: A Discussion on Budgeting, Shared Services, and Labor Negotiations” Mr. Kronick and others will cover topics such as the impact of budget limitations and loss of state aid; long term financial and operational planning; layoffs, furloughs and reduction in force methods; managing reduced staffing levels and its affect on overall public safety; shared services; and allaying public concerns. Brian W. Kronick to Present at New Jersey Association of Counties’ Annual Conference

Partner Brian W. Kronick will speak at the New Jersey Association of Counties’ Seminar entitled, “Collective Labor Negotiations and Interest Arbitration in These Tough Economic Times.”  As the NJAC labor counsel, Mr. Kronick will cover topics such as labor negotiations and interest arbitration during the current economic crisis, new pension and health benefits legislation, layoffs, temporary layoffs and alternatives to layoffs.
