Rebecca Moll Freed to Speak at Rutgers University Collaboration for an Ethical New Jersey Panel

Counsel Rebecca Moll Freed will speak at the Rutgers Business School’s panel entitled “Collaboration for an Ethical New Jersey, What is?…What Works?…What can be?…” Ms. Freed and others will discuss the current status of the intersection between business and government in New Jersey, what currently works in terms of best practices, and what the solutions to a more ethical New Jersey are. The panel will take place on Friday, June 4th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rutgers University – Newark Paul Robeson Campus Center.

Rebecca Moll Freed Named Board Counsel of Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey

Counsel Rebecca Moll Freed was named Board Counsel for the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey on May 11th.  The WPC was founded in 1972 and is a multi-partisan organization dedicated to increasing the number of progressive women in elected and appointed positions in government, protecting reproductive freedom, and promoting equal rights for women.

Ms. Freed is a member of the Corporate Political Activity Law and Public Contact Law & Bid Protest Litigation Practice Groups and is based in the firm’s Newark, NJ and New York, NY offices.

Rebecca Moll Freed to Speak on the Latest in Campaign Finance at a NJICLE Pay-to-Play Seminar

Counsel Rebecca Moll Freed will speak at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s seminar entitled, “Pay To Play 2010: The Latest In Campaign Finance.” Ms. Freed and others will cover state, county and municipal pay to play rules; advocacy organizations after Citizens United; federal political action committees and the 2010 Congressional elections; the impact of the proposed SEC regulations on your clients’ activities and discuss the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board’s regulations. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Lafayette Yard Marriott in Trenton, NJ.

John C. Petrella to Speak on Latest Developments in EEO Law and Best Practices at EEOC Technical Assistance Seminar

Partner John C. Petrella will speak at the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Technical Assistance seminar on May 21, 2010. Mr. Petrella and other expert presenters will discuss managing leaves of absences and best practices for developing and implementing leave policies. Other topics will include employment discrimination issues and the latest developments in EEO law. The seminar will be held in New Brunswick at the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University.
